Grandma George said we're starting the new year with cookies and pies, so get ready for lots of dessert recipes...but who is really complaining about that? Grandma found this recipe in her collection and really wanted to try it and we always listen to Grandma. Survey said they were delicious, so we are sharing them with you!
Ingredients
1 3/4 cup unbleached flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbs milk
2 cups chocolate chips firmly packed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour and baking soda, set aside, Cream butter. Add vanilla and both sugars and beat until fluffy. Beat in the egg. At low speed, beat in the cocoa, then milk. With a spoon, mix in the dry ingredients just until mixed. Stir in the chocolate chips. Measure out rounded teaspoon and place onto a nonstick or foiled lined baking tray. Bake for 12-13 minutes, cool slightly, remove from tray.
