These are the cookies people reminisce about and crave...and now I'ms haring the recipe. Grandma George's chocolate chip cookies are legendary and I was able to have a baking session with her and learn her ways. And now, I get to share the recipe with you. Hope you enjoy :)
Ingredients
2/3 cups shortening
2/3 cups margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar packed
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour (*plus 1/2 cup)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 package chocolate bits
Instructions
Mix shortening, butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. (* for softer cookies ass 1/2 cup more flour.) Using a cookie scoops place dough on cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes or until cookies are golden brown at 375.
