Jessica Simpson keeps a special place in her closet for a pair of short shorts.
The singer/actress starred alongside Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott in the 2005 comedy remake of “Duke of Hazzard”, sporting an iconic pair of cut off jean shorts.
In a new chat with PEOPLE where she discussed her own Jessica Simpson Collection summer line, she let slip that she still has the skimpy item.
She did then reveal there were many pairs of the same shorts worn during the movie’s filming.
Simpson said over the years she’s kept the same penchant for the shorts that her character Daisy Duke had in the movie. She went so far as to call herself a “connoisseur” of the shorn style.
Simpson even compared her Hollywood clothes in her closet to that of Diana Ross, mother-in-law to her sister Ashlee.
“It makes me laugh because I imagine her archive is filled with sequins that make you salivate and mine is filled with Juicy suits and Daisy Dukes!” she said playfully.
