It’s busy times for Lauren Alaina, who is not only in this midst of planning a wedding, but also working on new music.

Alaina recently joined David and Kelli of KFRG’s Wake Up Call morning show to give an update on it all, starting with wedding planning. “I’m fully immersed,” she said of her current planning status. “Venue is booked [and] yesterday I had a full day of meeting with florists and caterers and photographers. [My fiancé] went to all of it.”
Alaina continued on to share that while her hubby-to-be, Cam Arnold, is far from a groom-zilla, he does seem to have more of an opinion than she thought he would — especially when it comes to the adult beverages.
“He doesn’t love it [planning],” Lauren laughed. “You know what’s so funny? He says, ‘Whatever you want, baby, you pick it out.’ And then he goes, and he picks everything out. I’ll have everything picked out and then we’ll be sitting there [and he’s like] ‘What if we did this?’ Right after I picked everything out for 30 minutes… it’s really funny to see the things he hypes up about.”
Lauren says he also has big plans for the bar, which will be fully stocked and staffed. “He’s a big Budweiser guy. His groom’s cake has to be Budweiser and we have a whole Budweiser bar,” she shared. “He is adamant that there is no line at the bar. He says he hates going to weddings when he has to wait in a long line to get something to drink.”
While he worries about the booze, Lauren has her mind wrapped around other details, like her first social media post as a married woman. She admits she already has a punny caption ready.
“It’s with my new last name,” she laughed, admitting she already has a caption ready to go. “My last name will be Arnold.”
A new last name isn’t the only new thing Lauren has in the works, she also says she’s in the studio working on new music. “I’m in the studio working on new music, I’m planning a wedding, I’m tired,” she laughed. “I promise, new music very soon!”
