On this week’s episode of Spotlight on Maryland, we spoke with Marissa Jachman, Executive Director of the Erin Levitas Foundation. We also had a chance to meet Briauna Wills, Founder of Young Queens in Training and partner with the Erin Levitas Foundation.

The Erin Levitas Foundation is a local organization that focuses on educating youth and young adults about sexual assault and helping survivors heal. Through early education, they believe sexual assault is preventable; supporting survivors is important, but so is the goal of preventing individuals from becoming a sexual assault survivor or perpetrator. You can learn more about their prevention programs HERE.

Our second guest on the show was Briauna Wills, Founder of Young Queens in Training. Her organization highlights and supports young African American women in Baltimore. Being a Baltimore native, Briauna saw a need for after school programming to address self-esteem, health and wellness, and financial management. Briauna met Marissa in 2022 through BaltimoreGame Changers, and their shared passion for helping the youth in Baltimore is what makes them such a great partnership.

The Stroll and Roll 5K and Family Fun Walk is this Saturday April 29th! The fun starts at 8:30am at Camden Yards. The event will be hosted by Today’s 101.9 Morning Show host Gina Crash! Listen to the full interview with Marissa below and then register and donate HERE!
