This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash spoke with Tiffany Majors, President and CEO of the Greater Baltimore Urban League, (GBUL) about their mission and programs like the Saturday Leadership Program and the Returning Citizen Work-Ready Employment Program in partnership with Truist Bank.

Tiffany also talked about the success of their 25th annual Golf Tournament fundraiser that was held in October, their successful Thanksgiving turkey drive and their upcoming Holiday Turkey Basket Giveaway coming up Monday, December 20, 2021. To register to receive a basket, you can visit their website at gbul.org.

Other topics Tiffany discussed include GBUL's plans for 2022 including opening a food pantry in West Baltimore in January to help those who need food support in food deserts, areas that lack access to fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, etc.

The Greater Baltimore Urban League continues to champion Civil Rights, Voting Rights, Fair Housing, Equity in Education and Funding for Education, and continuing to broaden WiFi and internet access in underserved communities.

GBUL President and CEO Tiffany Majors is always looking for partners to support and grow these vital programs. They are always in need of volunteers, tutors, and mentors for their Entrepreneurship programs. You can also support GBUL through the Amazon Smile program.
