This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash spoke with Christi Green, Executive Director of Maryland Coalition of Families, (MCF), about the demand for mental health services and resources available to families experiencing mental health challenges including the new national suicide and crisis lifeline, 988.
MCF is a state-wide nonprofit dedicated to connecting, supporting and empowering families who are experiencing behavioral health challenges. The organization advocates to improve services and systems that impact individuals with behavioral health challenges and to reduce the stigma related to behavioral health. MCF staff provides one-to-one support to families of children and adults experiencing behavioral health issues, and anyone who cares for someone with a substance use or problem gambling issue.
Families in need of support can call MCF at 410-730-8267, email them at email@example.com, or visit them online at mdcoalition.org. They are there to help and services are free. You can also find them on Facebook and on Twitter.
