NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness and NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore is a NAMI affiliate serving Baltimore City and Baltimore County. They are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with mental health conditions, their families, and communities through education, support and advocacy.
Kerry talked about how NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore supports people impacted by mental health conditions including hosting free support groups every week and hosting classes that teach people how to connect with resources in the area. Ryan talked about his personal story of living with mental illness and his family's mental health journey that inspires his work volunteering and making NAMI's StigmaFree Workplace Presentations.
Kerry also discussed how NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore is hosting their 8th Annual Mental Health Education Conference for Faith Leaders, which is a day for faith leaders from across Baltimore to come together and learn about how to support the mental health of their congregations through various seminars and discussions.
