An arrest has now been made after a deadly hit and run in the parking lot of an Upstate retail store, last week. As we previously reported, the Simpsonville Police Department responded to the parking lot of the Belk store on Fairview Road, last Thursday.
A pedestrian identified as 56 year old, Dawn Marie Cline was hit by a vehicle and was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she later died. Police have now announced that the suspect driver 35 year old, Ryan Rashad Hames has been arrested.
He's charged with fatal hit and run and driving with a suspended license. Hames has initially been denied bond and is being held at the Greenville County jail.
Police did give credit to Flock Cameras for help in identifying the suspect.
