A high speed highway chase that started in Charlotte ended with the suspect in custody in the Upstate. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says officers witnessed a carjacking around 3:30PM, Wednesday on North Graham Street. Police say, the suspect then fled the scene in a truck and a chase ensued down I-85 crossing into South Carolina.
A Charlotte Police Helicopter was used to follow the chase and the suspect driver identified as Zyvarius Webber eventually crashed in Spartanburg County. He was then taken into custody.
Webber is believed to have committed multiple carjackings in the Charlotte area. He faces charges in Spartanburg County for failure to stop for blue lights and being a fugitive of justice.
