This week marks National Police Week and different law enforcement agencies in the Upstate are preparing for ceremonies to honor fallen officers. An Annual Memorial Service will be held in front of the Greenville County Law Enforcement Center starting at 10AM Tuesday.
The ceremony will recognize the fallen Law Enforcement Officers who served the citizens of Greenville County.
Also, The Simpsonville Police Department will be holding a memorial ceremony Friday morning at 10AM. That event will be held in front of the Council Chambers on East Curtis Street.
Officials there say the Memorial Ceremony is set to honor past and fallen officers and is also in recognition of the Simpsonville Police Department's 125 years of service to the community.
