What was a crowded field and a hotly contested race will now move to a run-off for the Republican nod in the Special U.S. Senate Primary. 10 candidates found themselves on the ballot to fill the seat that is open after the unexpected death of Senator Lindsey Graham.
His sister Darline Graham has advanced to the runoff after being the top vote getter and garnering over 30% of the vote. Congressman Ralph Norman will move on to face Graham in the runoff after getting nearly 25% of the vote.
Those two will meet August 25th in the runoff. The winner will meet Democratic nominee Dr. Annie Andrews in November's general election.
