A suspect is facing charges after a wild weekend chase in North Georgia. The Hart County Sheriff's Office says, a deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Lavonia Highway, Saturday night.
The driver refused to stop and a chase ensued that reached speeds of 85-90 miles per hour. The driver later identified as 25 year old, Blake Andrew Hix of Hartwell was taken into custody.
That followed him pulling into the driveway of a home in an attempt to hide from deputies. Hix is charged with DUI 2nd offense, eluding, open container and multiple traffic violations.
