A North Georgia man is set spend the rest of his life behind bars on child sex crime charges. Officials in Hart County say 31 year old, Colby Jeffery Thornton has been convicted of aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation and other charges.
Court records show that Thornton sexually abused a 13 year old. District Attorney David White said in regard to the crimes "It's difficult to describe the depravity".
It took the jury less than 15 minutes to return a guilty verdict. Thornton has been sentenced to three consecutive life sentences.
