Officials say a North Georgia property owner shot an intruder during a break-in earlier this week. Elbert County Deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a vacant house in Bowman, Monday.
Investigators say, the property owner found a man inside the home and a fight ensued. Shots were fired, the suspect was hit and fled the scene.
He was found shortly after that and was taken to a hospital to be treated. He's currently in custody in Elbert County. No charges have been announced against the property owner at this time. The shooting remains under investigation.
