A suspect is in custody after police say he tried to kidnap two underaged girls at a North Carolina retail store, last week. Authorities say the attempted kidnapping happened at the Walmart in Lincolnton, Friday.

Two women reported that they took their daughters ages 9 and 14 to Walmart to shop for Valentine's Day. While there a suspect identified as 25 year old Tristan Coleman reportedly grabbed the 14 year old and pulled at her shorts.

He's also accused of grabbing the 9 year old by her throat and trying to pick her up. The two girls managed to run away from Coleman and got to their mothers.

That's when he tried to kidnap the 9 year old again, in front of the women. Police arrived and took Coleman into custody. He's charged with attempted kidnapping, indecent acts with a child and assaulting a female.
