Wild weekend scene in the Upstate leads to shooting

A wild weekend scene that unfolded in Spartanburg, has led to charges against an Upstate teenager. The Spartanburg Police Department responded to a reported shooting near Bobo Elementary School, Saturday.

Police say, the incident started when the suspect 19 year old, Noel Leal-Resendiz went over to his ex-girlfriend's house and found another man there.

When the ex-girlfriend and the man left the home, Leal-Resendiz followed them in his vehicle and tried wrecking them on Powell Mill Road. He then tried to grab the woman and take her out of the vehicle.

That's when the man with her shot Leal-Resendiz. He was injured in the shooting, but was arrested for being the primary aggressor in the incident.

Leal-Resendiz is charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and assault. No charges have been filed against the shooter.
