Two teenagers are facing charges after the death of a one year child in the Upstate, earlier this year. Police in Union responded to a home there in early August after a report that a baby was in cardiac arrest.
The 18 month old child was taken to Union hospital where she later died. SLED was called into investigate.
The caregivers of the child 19 year old, Samantha Dix and 18 year old, Brycen Christopher Prince have now been arrested and are charged with homicide by child abuse. Both are being held in Union County awaiting a bond hearing.
