It was a chaotic scene in the Upstate as police say a juvenile led them on a wild weekend chase.
The Pickens County Sheriff's Office and Pickens Police Department responded to a report of shots fired just after 5AM, Sunday just outside of the Pickens city limits.
When deputies arrived, the juvenile suspect drove away from the scene and a chase ensued. Police were able to contain the suspect vehicle in a parking lot, but the driver again tried fleeing and nearly hit two deputies who were on foot.
The suspect also rammed a patrol vehicle twice. The driver lost control of the vehicle and bailed out on foot. The suspect was eventually caught after a foot chase and was taken into custody.
Police say, the juvenile was found with a pistol that had the serial number destroyed. Police say the vehicle had been reported stolen from Greenville. A search warrant also uncovered more stolen guns and drugs.
The incident remains under investigation. The identity of the suspect has not been released due to their age.
