Five men, one of them from the Upstate have been arrested in connection to a double fatal shooting in North Georgia.
The GBI says the charges stem a shooting at a bar in Hartwell in 2022. The incident left 39 year old, Roberius Thornton of Hartwell and 24 year old, Joseph Johnson of Bowman, Georgia dead. Officials say several others were injured in the shooting.
The GBI says five suspects have now been arrested for the shooting. They include 21 year old Contorius White of Anderson, Ke'Ardrick Turner, Jo'Beau Almond, Kyairre Thomas and Trenton Shoemaker.
Tucker, Shoemaker and Almond were all arrested in recent weeks. Thomas was already in custody in Stephens County Jail and White was in custody here in South Carolina, both were being held on unrelated charges.
All five are charged with murder, nearly a dozen counts of aggravated assault and weapons violations.
