A Western North Carolina man is facing prison time after doxing a Supreme Court Justice. The U.S. Department Of Justice says 59 year old, Kyle Andrew Edwards pleaded guilty to doxing the home address of a sitting Supreme Court Justice.
Court records say, that Edwards a native of Buncombe County also made threatening social media posts. Edwards posted that the Supreme Court “must be destroyed.” Two days later, he posted that a certain Supreme Court justice should “buy Kevlar robes.”
Edwards also posted the home address of a Supreme Court Justice just two days later. Edwards was released on bond following the guilty plea, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The maximum penalty for the doxing charge is five years in prison and there is no parole or early in the federal prison system. Edwards is expected to be sentenced at a later date.
