A woman is in custody in connection to a deadly overdose in Western North Carolina, last year. As we previously reported, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported cardiac arrest at a home in Forest City this past November. Officials say a woman identified as Pauline Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.
Earlier this month, a grand jury indicted the suspect Kathryn Diane Morrison. She was arrested last week on charges of 2nd degree murder and death by distribution. The Sheriff's Office did not elaborate on what substance caused the overdose.
