The battle for the White House continues as Americans wait for key states to finish counting ballots. Georgia is one of several key states, and according to the Secretary of State's Office, there are roughly 60,000 more ballots left to count statewide.
In metro Atlanta, several counties have been working diligently to ensure that every eligible vote is counted. Georgia Secretary of State Voting System Implementation Manager Gabriel Sterling told reporters during a press conference Thursday morning that counters in Fulton County worked throughout the night. He praised all county election workers' hard work and provided a breakdown of each counties' number of ballots. There are 11,200 left to count in Fulton County, Cobb County has 700, Clayton County 7,408 are remaining, and Gwinnett has 7,300.
Sterling predicted the process is narrowing down, and it might be later tonight before all ballots statewide are counted.
