Cagle was located on security cameras. When hewas taken into custody, authorities say they found his flatbed pickup truck parked just outside South Terminal at the airport. Inside the truck they found an AR-15 assault rifle and 27 rounds of ammunition.
Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens says that Cagle had "mental challenges."
Coincidentally, @Audacy Atlanta's Dr. Maria Boynton was also inside the South Terminal Monday morning when the possible catastrophic event was being thrawted.
Boynton was headed to New York City with her mom and sister. "We were in a very long security line, for at least an hour. I started taking pictures totally unaware of what was going on at the front of the airport."
Boynton adds, "We had absolutely no knowledge of the tragedy that could have befallen us until after we landed at LaGuardia Airport."
"We are very grateful to all who protected everyone at the airport," says Boynton
