The Georgia Bulldogs will open the 2025-2026 College Football season ranked 5th in the AP Poll behind Texas, Penn State, Ohio State, and Clemson. They did receive one (1) first place vote, while Texas received 25, Penn State got 23, and Ohhio State recorded 11.

This isn't a huge changed for the Coaches Poll last week in which Georgia was ranked #4. The big switch there was Clemson being #6 in the Coaches Poll behind Georgia and Notre Dame but jumping to 4th in the AP Poll.

Georgia Tech is opening their season unranked, but they were in the group of teams receiving votes, and if you extended the rankings beyond the Top 25, the Yellow Jackets would come in at #31.
