The 2026 ESSENCE Festival Of Culture® Presented By Coca-Cola® carried its momentum into the weekend as thousands gathered at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center for another powerful day of culture, connection, and celebration. Highlights spanned the Suede Lounge, GBEF® HQ, Book Festival, ESSENCE Main Stage, and Coca-Cola®’s Shine City, before the Caesars Superdome lit up for an unforgettable evening honoring R&B legends

Notable Talent Moments:

  • Mara Brock Akil sat down with Sherri Shepherd on the ESSENCE Main Stage for a fireside chat celebrating her debut novel and Tayari Jones sat down for an intimate fireside conversation on her latest novel Kin, exploring the ties that bind us, break us, and bring us back to ourselves.
  • Pamela Brown and Desiree Rogers explored the choices, values, and relationships that shape a truly authentic life in Made Like This: Becoming, powered by Target.
  • The cast of FX's The Drop: A Snowfall Saga, including Gail Bean, Isaiah John, and Asante Blackk, previewed the Snowfall follow-up series with moderator Kelley Carter on the ESSENCE Main Stage.

Superdome Concert Stage MomentsHosts Sherri Shepherd and Kenny Burns brought Independence Day energy to the Caesars Superdome for a night themed around Icons, with DJ Mars keeping the crowd moving between sets.
