In his new Netflix special, actor and comedian Jamie Foxx reveals exactly what happened when he mysteriously fell ill while filming a movie her in Atlanta.
In the special entitled, "What Had Happened Was" Jamie reveals that last April he suffered a stroke as a result of brain bleed and nearly lost his life.
He credits the nursing staff and doctors at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta for saving his life. He also gives special credit to his younger daughter Anelise for helping him to recover. At just 14 years old, she would sneak into her father's hospital room with a guitar and play by his bedside.
If you remember the special was filmed in Atlanta back in October at the Coca-Cola Stage at the Alliance Theatre. He filmed for three nights, and in the special you can see glimpses of a number of V-103 personnel and ticket winners in the audience.
Jamie Foxx' Netflix special has only been out a couple of days and it has already earned him a Golden Globe nomination in the category of Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television.
