Congratulations are in order for Trae Young now that he's made the USA Basketball 41-athlete player pool for the 2024 USA Basketball Men's National Team.
What this is means is that Young is a finalist for the USA Men's Basketball team, and if picked for the 12 player team he will then go on to represent the USA in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
Young is currently following the NBA's concussion protocol after being diagnosed with a concussion at Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
If Young makes it to the 12 person Olympic team, he will participate in the USA Basketball Team Showcase, which is a series of games to help the national team prepare for major competitions. The showcase kicks off in Las Vegas on July 10th where he and the rest of the team would host Canada's team at the T-Mobil Arena.
