What's Happening In The ATL For Juneteenth

It's the week of Juneteenth, and so much is happening in the ATL. A number of Juneteenth celebrations took place last weekend, but there are still a number of things happening in an around the ATL on Juneteenth and this upcoming weekend. Check out our list below, and as always have fun and be safe!

High Museum of Art : Free admission all day


College Park Juneteenth Celebration, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. – College Park City Hall.

A Juneteenth Celebration at The Center (Day 3), noon – The National Center of Civil and Human Rights

Sandy Springs Juneteenth Celebration, 5-8 p.m. – City Springs

Children's Museum of Atlanta Juneteenth Celebration (June 18) - Attendees will enjoy interactive storytelling by master storyteller Mama Koku, followed by an exciting Juneteenth performance! Children will learn about this day's history while participating in fun educational activities.
Ticket Price: Included with admission

City Celebration - The city of Brookhaven celebrates at Skyland Park with performances and activities including a Juneteenth proclamation, 40+Double Dutch Club, Harambee Dance Company, Hungry Hippo Eats, an African American-owned food truck, and more.

The Food Studio Juneteenth Groundbreaking/Blessing- The Food Studio will host a groundbreaking and blessing event at Pittsburgh Yards. The day will include speakers, storytellers, cultural artists, and an opportunity to experience plant-based foods.
When: June 19th, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Nia Building, Pittsburgh Yards, 352 University Ave. SW, Atlanta

The Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival- 3 big days of activity on 4 big stages! There will be a black History Parade, Saturday, June 22nd starting at 12 noon from the King Center traveling down Boulevard to Piedmont Park. The three day festival will also include dozens of parade floats, historical reenactments; marching bands and majorettes, cowboys, cowgirls, some of Georgia's best artists and DJ's, live bands, national speakers, over 200 vendors and food trucks
