Atlanta United has made the decision to part ways with Manger Gonzalo Pineda after a disappointing 4-8-4 start to the 2024 MLS season. Atlanta United has lost a club-record 5 straight games at home.
There was some thought that last Wednesday's impressive 3-1 road win over Inter Miami was a turning point for the season, but following that result up with a 3-2 home loss to Charlotte FC was too much for the club to ignore.
The organization waited as long as they could to make the decision, waiting until Atlanta United had an off week to make the change. Serving as Interim Manager for Atlanta United will be Rob Valentino.
