Brian Snitker has earned right to remain Braves' manager for rest of season

The Atlanta Braves’ 2025 campaign has been less than ideal so far, but the Braves’ failures this season do not solely fall on the shoulders of Manager Brian Snitker, and earlier today The Morning Shift explained why Snitker has earned the right to remain Atlanta's manager for the rest of the season.

“I think he’s earned the right to get through this season because of the whole, because of the seven playoff appearances and the six division titles, yeah you throw the World Series in there on top of it and then it kind of doubles down, but here’s the deal I can’t sit here and try to have no hypocrisy in my statement by saying the bullpen sucks, there are gaping holes in the lineup, and then say fire the coach because it would make everything better. No, you’re just cutting a head off to appease the people who think that’s what they want, who want blood.”

Even though the Braves have lost 14 of their last 17 games, including six straight series, are currently on a seven game losing streak, and have lost 10 straight one-run games, including five straight in this seven-game slide, Snitker having a 762-619 all-time record as Atlanta’s manager shouldn’t go unnoticed along with the fact that he did lead this team to six straight division titles, and seven straight postseason appearances well.

Snitker’s contract is up at the end of this season, and believe it or not the Braves do still have time to turn things around, so it seems right to let the Braves’ skipper get a chance to turn things around, and if it doesn’t happen then you don’t fire the 69 year old manager, who is probably very close to retirement anyway, you can just not re-sign him in what might end up being a mutual agreement to part ways at the end of the day.
