"Last night, I expected a lot more from our Hawks," 92-9 The Game's Carl Dukes said on Thursday as he and cohost, Mike Bell, shared their thoughts on the Atlanta Hawks performance in their season opener in which they lost to the Toronto Raptors 138-118.

"The build up to, 'hey, we've got a better team' Mike, and you kept saying Trae Young has better pieces around him and then the game is just a dud," Dukes continued as he explained why Wednesday night's loss by the Hawks was a disappointments after an offseason in which the team garnered national attention with moves that included the acquisition of Kristaps Porzingis.

"There was no rebounding, no transition defense and honestly, it looked like it was an extension of preseason or the end of a season when guys are playing like they're ready to go to Cancun. There was just nothing going on," Bell said as he expressed his concerns after watching Atlanta's loss.

"There's no intensity, no defense," Bell added of the Hawks who were outrebounded by the Raptors 54 to 34 and allowed 86 points in the paint.
