7A – It was a solid week for the 7A teams as four of the top six were in action and all victorious, including Collins Hill, Mill Creek, Milton and Roswell. Both Colquitt County and North Cobb were on a bye week so there weren’t any changes in the rankings this week.
For No. 1 Collins Hill, it was a bitter sweet victory as quarterback Sam Horn through for 279 yards and four touchdowns to become Gwinnett County’s all-time passing leader. However, the Eagles suffered a loss in the form of No. 4 2022 recruit, defensive back Travis Hunter, who suffered a leg injury and his return to action this season is questionable.

6A – Some changes did take place in the 6A Pick-6 as both River Ridge and Westlake suffered losses. For River Ridge, Riverwood handed them their first loss of the season and dropping them from No. 2 to No. 6. Westlake was handed their second loss of the season in a 31-24 loss to Langston Hughes, who breaks into the top six at No. 5. The loss drops Westlake out of the top six. Buford remains at No. 1 after their win over Habersham, while Lee County moves up to No. 2 following their win over North Miami Beach. Brunswick jumps from No. 5 to No. 3 as they are coming off a 56-21 win over South Effingham and idle Kennesaw Mountain moves up two spots to No.
4.

5A – Five of the top six teams were in action this past week and all five were winners. That would include No. 1 Warner Robins, No. 2 Coffee, No. 4 Cartersville, No. 5 Creekside and No. 6 Woodward Academy. No. 3 Ware County was idle, so there were no changes in the top six of the 6A Pick-6 rankings.

4A – Four of the top six from last week were in action with three of them picking up wins and one losing. No. 1 Jefferson improved to 6-0 after their win over East Hall. Perry, last week’s No. 2, fell to Spalding thus dropping to No. 4. Carver-Columbus jumped from No.
4 to No. 2 after their win over LaGrange and Benedictine moved up from No. 4 to No. 3 after their win over Burke County. Marist’s scheduled game with Hapeville was post-poned so they remain at No. 5 and No. 6 Stephenson was on a bye week and remains in that position.

3A – Once again, no changes occurred in the 3A top six as five of the top six teams were in action last week and all winners including No. 1 Oconee County, No. 2 Cedar Grove, No. 4 Sandy Creek, No. 5 Monroe Area and No. 6 Thomson. No. 3 Appling County was on a bye week.

2A – No changes occurred in the 2A Pick-6 rankings as five of the six teams that were in action were all winners.
No. 1 Rabun County, No. 2 Bleckley County, No. 4 Fitzgerald, No. 5 Thomasville and No. 6 Haralson County were all winners last week. No. 3 Callaway was on a bye week.

1A Public – No. 6 Schley County was the only team not in action last week and there were no changes in 1A Public because everyone else was victorious last week. No. Macon County, No. 2 Metter, No. 3 Irwin County, No. 4 Bowdon, and No. 5 Washington-Wilkes were all winners on Week 7.

1A Private – All six teams in 1A Private were in action and five of the six walked away with victories. No. 1 Trinity Christian continues to roll, knocking off Eagle’s Landing Christian 34-3, while No. 2 Calvary Day beat Stratford Academy. No. 3 Fellowship Christian, No. 4 Prince Avenue and Whitefield Academy, now No. 5, were all winners last week. Athens Academy was handed their second loss of the season by Wesleyan and dropped from the top six and newcomer, Tatnall Square, fresh off a 41-0 win over Broowood School rounds out the top six at No. 6.
