With the Braves now losers of four straight, sitting at 12-16, and starting a three-game series with the Nationals, is it time to start being concerned about their slow start? Dukes & Bell talked about why our Braves need to find some answers, and find them soon.
Carl talked about the situation the Braves find themselves in.
“All the concerns and worries I’ve talked about today, some of that stuff is going to fix itself. Some of it is injury, guys getting better and coming back like Soroka and Fried,” Dukes said. “But some of it is also guys getting in tune with where they need to be, and if you wait too long it might be too late.
“I’m not saying we’re not a playoff team, that I don’t believe in them. But the way this thing works, the better start you get off to, the less you have to worry about at the end. This is such a long season the grind of getting into August and panicking about we’re 10 games out, we’ve gotta find a way. You can but it’s hard. I’d rather be on the other side of that and say hey, we’re five games up and we have some room for error.”
