The Atlanta Hawks are set for a national TV appearance Tuesday as they host the Los Angeles Clippers. The game, set for a 7:30 tipoff, will be broadcast on NBA TV, but without a number of the Clippers marquee stars playing.
The Clippers announced on Monday night that Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Patrick Beverley are all going to miss the game for various reasons.
This was set to be a huge game for the Hawks, facing one of the best teams in the Western Conference, and doing so in front of fans for the first time since the pandemic began.
The Hawks announced that they would be opening State Farm Arena to 1,300 fans, which is 8 percent capacity, with safety measures that include contactless entry and food service, cleaning procedures, social distancing, and mask requirements.
While the re-introduction of fans to Hawks games is exciting, the Clippers resting a few players will take away from the draw of things, but fans will get an immediate shot to view other superstars on Wednesday night as Durant, Kyrie, Harden, and the Brooklyn Nets roll in for a back-to-back.
