This time last year it appeared Marcell Ozuna’s time with the Braves may be coming to an end due to off-field issues and disappointing play.
In 2024 he has reshaped the narrative around him by becoming one of the best players on the team and putting an end to any issues away from the diamond. Ozuna turned around his season to have a monster 2023 campaign and has followed it up so far.
The slugger is currently batting .365 with seven home runs and 22 RBIs through 15 games this season. He also has a scorching 1.158 OPS.
Ozuna has been able to deliver big hits during the early portion of the season including a monster three-run home run to win a game vs the Marlins.
With the pitching woes the Braves are enduring right now it’s even more important for Ozuna to continue to hold up his end of the bargain.
The offense has been carrying the team thus far as Alex Anthopoulos and Brian Snitker continue to spackle the back-end of the starting rotation together and Ozuna has been a huge part of it.
