Rarely does an evert involving the LA Dodgers get overshadowed, but we saw just that this past weekend.

Freddie Freeman recorded his 2,000th hit, but it just happened to be on the same weekend that saw Braves first baseman Matt Olson jump to a tie for the MLB lead in home runs with 25. The series with the Reds saw Olson mash four, including a big three-run bomb Sunday that broke a 3-3 tie.

The .236 average might not be what you want to see, everything else Olson is doing at the plate is working. Steak echoed this sentiment on this morning's Steakhouse. "Freddie Freeman getting his 2,000th hit last night, and Freddie Freeman is a machine. But what the heck is Matt Olson doing?

"Since he's made adjustments during the Mets series last year, he has been a hitting machine." The Braves are hoping those hitting ways continue as they open up a series tomorrow vs the AL Central's first place Minnesota Twins.
