Yesterday NFL reporter for FOX Jay Glazer reported that the Atlanta Falcons have had conversations with their former Pro Bowl and MVP quarterback Matt Ryan about rejoining the franchise in what would be a “significant” front office role, and that people close to Ryan say he’s seriously considering this move and talks are ongoing.
Earlier today The Morning Shift reacted to this report, and former Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman and former teammate of Matt Ryan, Mike Johnson, explained why he thinks this would be a great move for the Falcons, and why he thinks Atlanta’s former signal caller would give the Falcons front office a linear vision.
“Anything that I feel like could kind of lend itself to the Falcons organization to bring a linear approach from the top down and say this is our vision, I’m not going anywhere, I’m not gonna be hired off, I’m not gonna be fired, if there is one person that can just be in this organization for the rest of his life, and understand what the vision is from the top down it, I think that Matt Ryan is that guy.” Mike said
Matt Ryan knows first hand what a Super Bowl team looks like, how it’s built, and what kind of players and coaches the team needs, so if there is anybody that can make sure the front office is hiring the coaches, bringing in the right players, and as Mike said sticking to the franchises “linear vision” Matt Ryan seems like the obvious answer, and giving him a significant front office role seems like a great move for the Atlanta Falcons.
