If you have been using Robitussin cough syrup to tend to the symptoms of a cold, then you may need to toss it.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, a nationwide recall is in effect for Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult due to a microbial contamination.
The parent company of the cough syrup, Haleon, has not given details on how the contamination occurred or how it was discovered, but they are urging consumers to immediately stop using the syrup.
The recall covers 4-ounce bottle of Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult with lot No. T10810 with an expiration date Oct. 31, 2025. The 8 ounce products with lot No. T08730, T08731, T08732, T08733 with the expiration date of May 31, 2025, and lot No. T10808, which has an expiration date of Sept. 30, 2025.
As far as Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult, the recall covers 8-ounce bottles labeled with lot Nos T08740 and T08742 with the expiration date June 30, 2026.
