MLB analyst Keith Law of The Athletic stopped by Dukes & Bell Thursday ahead of the second half of the baseball season. He says Miami Marlins outfielder Starling Marte, who is looking for a new deal, could be the perfect fit for the Braves to add much-needed production in the outfield.

“Absolutely he would (help), especially if he does not want to sign a contract extension. If I was his agent I’d say I’d rather go to free agency. That’s a perfect situation.”

With the Braves adding Joc Pederson late Thursday, we'll see if there's still room for another acquisition. With Ronald Acuña Jr. gone for the season with a ACL injury and Marcell Ozuna's future with the team in question, Atlanta has lost plenty of offensive production.

Marte is currently batting .272 with 17 stolen bases and a .797 OPS.
