The Atlanta Braves earned some extra rest as the top-seeded team in the National League while they awaited the outcome of the Wild Card round, featuring two familiar opponents: the Miami Marlins and the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies emerged victorious in dominant fashion, capitalizing on their home field advantage and eliminating the Marlins in just two games. The Phillies outscored the Marlins 11-2 in the series and sealed their victory with a sixth-inning grand slam by Bryson Stott.

With both teams winning 7 of their last 10 games of the season, the upcoming series between the Braves and the Phillies is shaping up to be a highly competitive battle between longtime NL East rivals. The series is set to begin on Saturday, October 7th, with the exact time to be determined. Braves fans can catch the action on TBS.
