“People have said, even people from Oregon which is a bit alarming, tell me that doesn’t play hard on every down, seems to be disinterested if the play’s not in his direction,” Pauline said. “And when I was at the combine when I wrote that article that you just kinda referred to it was NFL scouts and people inside the league who were telling me the problem with Thibodeaux is not so much that he has outside interest but as I said in the article he’s acting like he’s already made it rather than really working to make it and that is a problem.”

Pauline told the guys why some of these things are alarming for NFL teams.

“When you go to the NFL combine, especially a guy like Thibodeaux, it’s the biggest job interview of your life and when you come across as ‘yea well football is just one piece of the pie’ and you’re twenty years old, twenty one years old that’s alarming. After you’ve made several all-pro teams or pro bowl teams and you’ve established yourself as a veteran they don’t care about that. But when you’re at the combine, when you’re being interviewed they wanna know that you’re gonna run through fire to play in the NFL, the kid Thibodeaux has not come across like that.”
