What an Atlanta Braves LF platoon may look like

The Atlanta Braves had an opening in left field and added Jarred Kelenic in a trade with the Mariners early in the offseason. When some Spring Training struggles showed, the team also added Adam Duvall. The expectation is that the two will platoon in left.

Grant mcauley's comments on a braves left field platoon begin at 5:58 in the clip below

"The righty-lefty thing makes the most sense," says 92.9 The Game Braves Insider Grant McAuley. "I think Kelenic, as a left-handed hitter, will get the majority of starts, there are more right-handed pitchers. Forrest Wall off the bench as well is the forgotten man."

Kelenic has not had an ideal spring for Braves fans, who were hoping to unleash his potential. He's hitting just .071 in spring, but with the start of the season the stats will reset and hopefully he can come out swinging, both literally and figuratively.
