For the first time in almost 50 years, the Atlanta Hawks have landed to No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft.
That is mostly a good thing, because typically, the team with that pick is coming off of a pretty bad season. Since the lottery was initiated, tanking has been curbed a little, and multiple teams now have at least a chance to obtain the pick.
The Hawks had a 3 percent chance at landing the pick, and now have the opportunity to use it not necessarily as a rebuild tool, but as a tool to further strengthen the team, and maybe even catapult the team in to a high playoff seed.
So what do the Hawks do?
General Manager Landry Fields joined Randy McMichael and John Fricke to discuss the whirlwind that will be the six weeks leading up in to the 2024 NBA Draft.
