With Marcell Ozuna expected to miss 5-6 weeks due to fractures of two fingers on his left hand, where will the Atlanta Braves turn to fill his void in the lineup?
Dukes talked about a few options on the current 25-man roster he thinks can fill in for Ozuna.
“I'd keep [Austin] Riley at third and [Guillermo] Heredia is going to be my rotating outfielder. I think he’s played every position except catcher, he can play all over the place,” Dukes said. “Here’s another thing, can maybe we get Ender [Inciarte] to do his part at the plate?”
Bell said the organization has some options currently in Triple-A.
“They also have Orlando Arcia, this is the guy that was the former Brewer that we picked up, we traded Weigel and Sobotka to get him, he’s been in Gwinnett, down there in Triple-A,” Bell said. “Travis Demeritte is out there as another outfielder, a guy who is only 26, who’s actually been doing OK down there for the Stripers.”
