18 games into the 2026 season the Atlanta Braves are second in runs scored (100),fourth in home runs (21), first in RBI (97), second in batting average (.274), fifth in on-base percentage (.342), third in slugging percentage (.439), and third in OPS (.781), and earlier today The Morning Shift explained why they think the Braves’ offense is starting to look how it did in 2023 when they had a historic offensive season.

“This is really starting to kind of get this 2023 feel offensively where you might come out on them and score a few runs, but they're gonna start chipping away.” Beau Morgan said

Mike Johnson added on to Beau’s point by talking about how right now it feels like that anybody could be the hero in the Braves lineup on any given night.

“It just feels like any given night somebody is going to be the hero and Dom Smith just happens to have been the guy once or twice, but you do get that feel like it could’ve been Ozzie Albies, it could’ve been a [Mauricio] Dubón whose had some big hits, Drake Baldwin is still connecting, and you just know that those moments are gonna come for Austin Riley and Ronnie [Ronald Acuña Jr.].” Mike said

In 2023 everybody in the Braves lineup produced from top to bottom, and it felt like Atlanta always ambushed their opponent and scored in the first inning and never let up or even if they did find themselves behind in a game no matter what the score was they were always in it because of how potent their offense was, and it’s starting to feel the the exact same way with this 2026 Braves offense.
