OK…You probably already figured out that I love cars.

And I enjoy sales, too.

But that said, I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy selling high-end vehicles these days.

Why?

Oh sure...a good close-to-six-figure luxury / performance machine performs better…has more luxury touches…and carries technical capabilities that were beyond our imagination just 10 – 15 years ago.

So what's the problem, then?

Well…as good as those well-known German and Japanese performance / luxury sedans are these days, all the other guys have gotten better, too.

And Hyundai's new Sonata is a perfect example of that on-going improvement.

The average new vehicle today costs over 36 thousand.

For 35K right on the nose…destination fees included…just look at what Hyundai delivers:

But first, just look at what they deliver it IN.

Now styling and beauty are always in the eyes of the beholder, but let me just say that the lines on Hyundai's brand-new Sonata had quite a few people guessing that it came from Japan or Germany and cost ten or twenty thousand more that its modest window sticker indicated.

Now back to the content:   In "Limited" trim, you get pretty much everything that would have been found only on a true luxury ride just a few years ago…like soft, perforated heated and cooled leather, 18" alloys, LED headlamps, a panoramic sunroof, Bose audio, big touchscreens, Surround-View with both front and rear parking alerts, and all the blind-spot, collision and cross-traffic alerts that we probably expect these days.

You'll also get a few surprises in your Sonata Limited like Hyundai's "Digital Key"…allowing you to use your Android phone as a key…and even allowing you to send your digital key to someone else.   Plus the "Limited" gives you Hyundai's new "Smart Park".   Remember those times when someone parked so close to you that you couldn't even open the door and squeeze in?    Smart Park will start your Sonata and move it out so that you can easily enter.

Again…you get all this…with a 1.6 liter, 180 HP turbo and an 8-speed automatic for 35 thousand.

Need less?   Save a few thousand and get a less expensive trim with a few fewer niceties and a non-turbo 191 HP 2.5 engine.   Either way you'll still enjoy an EPA rated 37 – 38 Hwy MPG.

Need more?   Opt for Hyundai's brand-new "N-Line" Sonata with a V-6 and 290 HP.   Either way you'll still probably be comfortably in the mid-$30's.

In short, Hyundai's new Sonata gives you a variety of ways to have a comfortable, safe, economical ride.   And in Limited trim they give you luxury you probably didn't expect…along with cutting-edge technology that didn't even exist a few years ago…and puts it all in your garage at a reasonable mid-$30's price.
