On Point with Juandolyn Stokes welcomed attorney Mawuli Davis to invite listeners to the 3rd Annual Pan African Festival brought to you by the Beacon Hill Black Alliance for Human Rights. This year's theme: "Liberation Rising: Remember, Resist, Rejoice" which is sure to be exciting.
The event takes place over two days, Friday, Aug. 18 at Decatur High School with the showing of a free documentary, "The Big Payback," which is about reparations and a panel discussion afterwards.
"There will be a lot of good information, and very powerful," said Davis.
Saturday's festival on Aug. 19 from 2:00pm-10:00 pm will be located at 509 N. McDonough St. in the Decatur Square is also free and promises to give attendees an unforgettable experience of the Pan African culture, heritage, and entertainment.
Expect to see talented performers on stage with Afro Beats, Hip Hop and more.
This year's host are V-103's Osei the Dark Secret and poet extraordinaire, Queen Sheba.
