Recently on, On Point with Juandolyn Stokes. Dr. Christina, the Psych-Oncology Coordinator for Northside Hospital, shared information with our audience about suicide prevention and suicide awareness, unfortunately, is on the rise. Dr. Christina shared the importance of recognizing the signs of someone likely to commit suicide, including those who speak of not wanting to be here, share feelings of hopelessness, and are giving away their possessions.
She also shared that there is a nationwide helpline, 988 for people who are in a crisis state and need someone to speak to immediately.
