On Point with Juandolyn Stokes, welcomed educator, life coach and author of "Dear White Woman, Please Come Home," Kimberlee Williams. The book is an invitation to white women longing for authentic friendships with Black and Brown women. These potential relationships would be welcoming, open, and truthful.

Williams said she was inspired to write this book after she participated in a workshop with Black and white women who were supposed to openly share their feelings with each other, but she grew angry by what happened instead.

"Black women said they did not share their feelings because they didn't think white women cared. White women said they did not know what Black women were feeling. I wrote the letters so they can know," said Williams.

According to Williams, some of the problems stem from cultural differences, like white women allowing their children to call adults by their first name, which is a no-no in the Black community. Other sources of contentions included white women cutting in line or white sales women not greeting you when you come into their store. This may seem unimportant to some women, but for other women it is quite significant.

"I hope to give white women a mirror so they can see their behaviors are offensive," said Williams.

She added, white women who do not get it, must know this book is not for them. If they want authentic relationships with Black women, they have to face it.

"For Black women I say, your story is true. You are not making this up," said Williams
